Tugas 4 - Bahasa Inggris Bisnis 2 : Reason Why Did I Choose Information System as My Major

There is some reason why I choose Information System as my major study, but before that I will introduce myself first. My name is Dear Muhammad Ridlo, I am usually called by Dear, Der or Yar. I was born in Cianjur, June 1996. I am the last child of 4 siblings. I live in Jakarta with my older sister with her family.

First of all, because I didn’t get any state universities. I am already tried SBMPTN, UTM IPB, but none of them gave me satisfied result.  Even though I take extra course to prepare for SBMPTN, it did not enough to make me get accepted for SBMPTN. Everything had reasons, including why I did not get accepted SBMPTN. As I am already told before, I take extra course, but I am not take it seriously, like I just attend to the class, answer the multiple choice question, listened to the explanation, I was only did that for the rest course. I was regretting what I did that time, but I had to move on, and no futile effort.

Secondly, when I was already fail to get SBMPTN and UTM IPB, my parents gave me a choice to continue my education. They gave me a choice to choose between STPP (Sekolah Tinngi Penyuluhan Pertanian) Bogor or Gunadarma University. But in that time, I try to take both. When I take administration Gunadarma University, it when smooth all the required is easy to complete. But when it came to STPP everything gets hard, the administrative requirements not easy to complete. There was several requirements that I had not finish, like photocopy my ID card because I have not get my ID card that day, made SKBN, SKCK, and another requirements. Because I could not complete the requirements,  so I did not take STPP, besides that STPP location is quite far away from down town, and they have dorm system that usually has strict rules, that things don’t suite me at all.

After that, I was start to think to take what major I will take in Gunadarma. Gunadarma has many major studies, but I was interest with computer, so the major studies left is Informatics Engineering, Information System and Computer System. Before I choose three of them I started to compare them.  After I googled, Informatics Engineering more focus on developing computer vision, robotics, intelligence systems, and things related to computer development in the future, good math. System Information more focus on how to build and apply information technology with existing business processes, so that a business will be able to effectively achieve its goals by implementing IT in business. Computer System more focus on the hardware. After compared them, I think which major study that suit me, Computer System was the one that I first delete from my list, because I read that if there was an error, we should searched the problem, was not like if there was an error in software, the IDE will points the error. Then left   System Information and Informatics Engineering, I choose System information as my major studies because it does not need good math, and not really focus on the algorithm. So, that is the reason why I am choose System Information as my major studies
